A longtime catastrophe underwriter and 2018 Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree, Kelley Bernal currently serves as Vice President, Program Manager for QBE North America.  In this position, Kelley is responsible for managing Property Catastrophe exposure and maintaining relationships with MGA partners. Prior to this, Kelley served as Senior Vice President and Director of Underwriting for EQ One Insurance Services, a division of Alliant Underwriting Solutions.  Kelley began her career as a Property Facultative Underwriter at Gen Re in 2001.  She’s also held senior catastrophe underwriting positions at RLI, V3 Insurance Partners and Catalytic Risk Managers. 

Kelley is Co-Founder of Moms Against Racism & Injustice.  She serves on the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Western Division Associate Board, is co-founder of the Emerging Insurance Professionals organization and is a Past President of the Marine Underwriters of Southern California.  Kelley earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of San Diego and is a 2023 Executive MBA candidate at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.  She also is a graduate of and past Alumni Advisor to the Multicultural Women Executive Leadership Program hosted by USC Marshall School of Business. Kelley lives in Pasadena, CA with her husband and awesome teenage son.
