Jim started his insurance career with an internship at Chubb & Son in 1981, in Short Hills, NJ. After graduating from Indiana University, he returned to the company as  a Marine underwriting trainee in downtown New York City, then held a variety of management  positions in Property and Marine underwriting in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, eventually becoming the Worldwide  Marine product manager in 1995.

In 2000, Jim changed career paths, becoming the Branch Manager in Milwaukee , then Pittsburgh, before  transferring to the West Coast  in June 2008. Based in Los Angeles, Jim became the Regional Executive Officer  for the Pacific Region (West Coast),  with responsibility for all Branch Operations and products. Jim retired  in April 2020, capping a 38 year career.

Kathy and Jim have 3 children: Kristen, AVP/ Account Executive at Lockton LA; Matthew, a Commercial Underwriter at Chubb Ltd/ Denver, and Megan, a Sophomore at the University of Tampa.

Jim’s passions include charity work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. He is also a member of the Order of Malta, with its mission to help the poor and the sick. He travels extensively with Kathy, and enjoys playing mediocre golf.
