I grew up in Western Suburbs of Chicago in a middle class household. I was a three sport athlete in High School and after graduation attended Triton College for 2 years. I was locked into Political Science from the get-go. At Triton I interned for local campaigns, one being for then Illinois State Senator, Barack Obama (never actually met him). I also wrote and submitted columns for Triton's Newspaper. I met my future wife, Melissa in 2000, and we moved to Southern California in 2002. I was hired as a Farmers Reserve Insurance Agent. After a successful six month trial period, I was offered an opportunity to become a full time agent. I turned down that opportunity and took a position working for a tenured State Farm Agent. I also enrolled at UC Irvine College and majored in Political Science. I was on the debate team and interned for more local candidates. I decided that I loved the insurance business, and I would much rather make that my career than politics or law. I continued my insurance career at State Farm until 2011. I moved back to the Chicago area and started working for an Independent Insurance Agent helping him build a small agency, particularly his commercial book of business. I was recruited by Insureon in 2015, and was hired on to underwrite contractor risks for Kraftlake Brokerage working ironically with Farmers Insurance Agents. Upon our severance from the Kraftlake program, I moved over to the retail side of business as a producer. I was given an opportunity to make the jump to the Account Management team where I have been working with an amazing team since then. My wife and I will be celebrating 17 years of marriage this year. I have 4 nephews and a niece and a 25 lb puggle named Layla.
